The Field Family Trust is a charitable trust in existence since 1992. It was created to serve as the primary funding vehicle for the medical and daily care expenses for Michael Field. Michael was injured in a diving accident in August of 1992. He is a C-4 quadriplegic and is paralyzed below his shoulders. The Trust is responsible for all medical expenses outside the realm of insurance including medical equipment, supplies and all prescription medication. The most significant expense on an annual basis however, is for Michael’s daily care. He requires approximately 12 hours/day of medical assistance as well as personal assistance for such simple tasks as bathing and feeding.
The primary sources of funding are the two annual golf tournaments. The FFT Par 3 Classic is held each spring and the FFT Golf Classic occurs every year in August or September. All proceeds from both events go directly to The Field Family Trust.
